Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) can cause a variety of health issues if left untreated. If you are sexually active, you and your partner(s) should receive regular STD tests, which include testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, HPV, syphilis and hepatitis B and C.

Types of STI screenings we provide
STI testing is not a part of most routine exams and blood work, so you must ask for it specifically. Because there isn’t a single test that checks for all STDs, we offer individual screenings for:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Hepatitis
- Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)
- Syphilis

At our facilities, you can access low-cost and confidential testing in a comfortable and clean environment. Our clinics offer flexible and convenient hours, meaning you don’t need to schedule time away from work or school to get tested. Visitors of our clinics are usually seen and treated in under an hour.
STD symptoms and testing
If you've had unprotected sex with someone that you know or suspect has an STI, you should consider going to a healthcare provider or a clinic for testing. Most STI tests are performed quickly and involve providing a sample of urine or blood or a cheek swab.
Depending on the circumstances, you may also undergo a physical exam. We recommend that you get checked for STIs if you are experiencing any of the following:
- Fever, body aches, swollen glands and other flu-like symptoms
- Increased or painful urination
- Pain, itching, swelling or irritation around your anus or genitals
- Sores or bumps around your thighs, genitals or anus
- Unusual discharge from your vagina or penis
If you test positive for a sexually transmitted disease, one of our providers can treat you and, if needed, refer you to an appropriate specialist for treatment. Many STIs can be managed with the proper treatment.
HIV testing
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone ages 13 to 64 should get tested for HIV at least once. If you have certain risk factors, you should consider getting tested at least once a year. For example, pregnant people should get tested for HIV during each pregnancy.
For HIV testing, there are two basic categories: a rapid test and a standard one. You can access the rapid test results in approximately 20 minutes. If you test positive, you will undergo follow-up testing to confirm the result.
We offer the standard test, and the results are available within 24 to 48 hours. Although the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved two home kits for HIV testing, we recommend visiting one of our clinics instead. With at-home tests, there's an increased risk of false results.
